Indian Community School

The Indian Community School began over 50 years ago in the kitchens of three Native American women. The school strives to connect students and the community to traditional ways of Native life through a standardized education. Creative has been involved with the school since their building was constructed 13 years ago. In this facility refresh, school leaders wanted to better foster community and create a cultural identity through space.

Creative was tasked with finding appropriate furniture that blended seamlessly with the natural aesthetic and encouraged students to engage with the curriculum. With careful programming, thoughtful research, and creative design solutions, we provided highly-functional furniture that enhances and celebrates the school’s natural environment. Ancillary furniture was provided throughout the facility that supports collaboration and flexibility, offering impromptu touchdown spaces for students.
