Creative Business Interiors specializes in designing, building, and furnishing commercial, educational, and healthcare interior environments.  Our primary market is southern Wisconsin, we also work throughout the nation.  We self-perform the majority of the work in the field including carpentry, painting, and furniture installation.  Founded in 1991, we have an excellent reputation with many long term employees, vendors, and client relationships.

Our growing design/build firm is looking for a business development professional with industry related expertise to join our consultative sales team.  This is an opportunity to cultivate a client following in an organization that provides products, services, and project results you will be proud to represent.

 

Position Overview:

Our Account Executives open new opportunities with new prospects or within existing accounts.  They uncover all the information to guide the strategy and structure the approach to win the design, the construction, and/or the furniture needed by the client.  Their assignment is to manage the client relationship while facilitating and leading an efficient process for the project team.

 

Our team of experts provide substantial support throughout the process of a project and then they assist with managing the client relationship on a long term basis.  This position offers a guaranteed salary while you learn, extensive training; an exciting commission plan with unlimited earning potential, and full benefits for someone who is highly skilled, knowledgeable and driven.

Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant Intern

Creative Business Interiors is seeking a part-time Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant paid Intern Position.  We are a fast-paced interior design, construction, and contract furniture firm.  The ideal candidate must be proficient in Adobe Suite. JOB SUMMARY:

 

A graphic designer/marketing assistant intern works closely with the Director of Support Services, Admin and sales team to develop marketing materials, invitations, ads, promotional tools, project profiles, company newsletters, signage and special projects. They will work with the Director of Support Services to assist in coordinating events, marketing campaigns, and market research. They collaborate with a team of professionals that include Account Executives, Furniture and Construction Project Managers, Designers, President and Executive Vice Presidents, Accounting and additional Administrative Services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Perform graphic design and marketing duties:

  • Design and Develop Graphic Design for
    • Marketing Materials
    • Invitations for Internal and External events
    • Advertising
    • Promotional Tools
    • Project Profiles
    • Internal and External Client Newsletters
    • Signage
  • Assist Director of Support Services with all events, marketing Campaigns, Research, and material purchases for Creative Business Interiors (internal and external events).
  • Photography of Projects and Events
  • General Office Support including Phone-Back-up/Kitchen Duty/Set Up/Clean Up Client Meetings
  • Prepare client RFP response packages for Account Executives
  • Assist with Website management under the direction of the Director of Support Services
  • Interest in Social Media/Marketing

COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Maintain good rapport with your customer (primarily within the company)
  • Maintain integrity and perform all work in an ethical manner
  • Apply effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Complete Spiceworks tickets and update tickets daily/necessary.
  • Assist and support the sales process, i.e. RFP’s, Marketing Collateral, Advertising, Special Projects
  • Assist with Administrative functions, i.e. internal and external events, travel arrangements, ordering marketing material, etc.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Senior in a 4-year Graphic Design/Marketing program.

Experience and/or Training

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience (school qualifies as experience)

 

Technology/Equipment

  • Requires the ability to use standard office equipment such as computer, printer, scanner, phone, etc.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite (must work in InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Video Editing Software is a plus
  • Knowledge in using a DSLR Cameras is a plus
  • Knowledge in Constant Contacts/Survey Monkey a plus

Requires basic math and statistical.

Physical Demands

Work is performed in a general office environment with limited noise exposure.  The majority of the time is spent seated at a workstation with access to telephone, computer, printer, files, and reference binders.  Requires occasional standing and walking to go to scanner, copier, file room, warehouse, shredder, and to meet with employees. This position also requires occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
